Dealers in Oregon/Washington

I'm on of those on here that don't own a TL. But I am in the market, and probably going to purchase an '06 or '07.
I've decided on Acura because:
1) MT is a must. I will not lay down 30k+ on a car that doesn't go when I say go (sportshift has too much lag in my opinion).
2) I'm totally biased towards the Honda/Acura line. My current car is a 1984 Honda Accord, which just passed 275,000 miles, and still going strong . My coworkers are amazed that I could put that many miles on one engine and be in the shape it's in. But my family's never owned a Honda without getting well over 200,000 before end of life.
Anyway, I'm wondering what Acura dealerships you've dealt with in the area (I live near Portland, OR), and if you've had good or bad experience from them. I may be willing to drive as far as Seattle or even maybe Sacramento to get the right car at the right price, so if you've had top-notch service there also, I'd like to know.

Thanks in advance, I really appreciate it.

ron tonkin is the way to go. I have also purchased from acura of portland and they are horrible to deal with. rude manager, rude sales people, horrible sales approach etc. etc. not to mention, practically all the cars on their lot are used (i like used cars but not at an acura dealer that is in the business of selling acuras) and many aren't even acuras! kem at ron tonkin acura was nice to deal with.

Acura of Lynnwood (30 minutes from Seattle), but well worth it IMHO. PM me for sales dude I worked with, I have referred a few peeps there since it was such a good experience.

Spokane acura

I visited all of the dealers mentioned in the above posts. I eventually settled on the COSTCO auto program and Spokane Acura. All of the other dealers lied to me about the availability of the car I wanted. The Spokane dealer told me how long it would be and the car showed up exactly when he said (at the time it was about a month or so to get the car in late 04) Using the COSTCO program, from the time I pulled into the dealer, traded my wifes car in, and was driving off the lot to find a place to eat lunch was about 45 minutes. To be honest, since then I have contacted them about some warranty work for some minor things and they have not been the most accomodating dealer I have talked to.

I Bought My Car From Acura Of Portland. And I Wouldn't Hesitate To Recommend Them. Yesterday I Had Taken In My 05tl For B Service. Not Only Did They Provide Prompt Service With A Smile, They Gave Me A 06rl For A Loaner. I Had It All Day Even Though The Service Was Completed In 2 Hrs.

I Have Taken My Tl To Ron Tonkin For Stuck Cd's. They Were Complete Asses About "if You Have Any Burned Cd's In There Were Are Going To Charge You For Service". My Car Had 3000 Miles On It At The Time. When I Told Them That It Was A Bunch Of Crap They Told Me I Sould Read The Manual. "all Of It". On Top Of That I Didn't Get My Cd's Back For 6 Months.

Currently, Acura Of Portland Has A Promotion Going. It's Called The Platnuim Service Agreement. At No Cost To You, Free Service, Rentals And Tires For As Long As You Own The Car.

If You Decide To Buy From Them , Tell Them I Refered You To Them. They Will Give Me Some Sort Of Finders Fee. Something That I Would Be Willing To Share With You.

Good Luck,

John Bufton

I had a great experience with Ron Tonkin buying my '05 TL. Service department is pretty good. Rory is very helpful when you need service. I'll reserve judgement on the regional Acura rep until my second meeting with him is over. We are meeting with BBB arbitrator this week to hopefully iron out some quality issues with the TL. No Whining just need to get it fixed.

I think I got great customer service and deal at Hinshaws Acura. However, took way to long to recieve my license plates, they also cant figure out that when I note a PO Box as my address that they should NOT to send things to my street address where we have nooo mail box, so yeh, still havent recieved the bill- I had to call my financial lender and make a payment by phone, oh yeah and the leather conditioning that they did looks like $hit! So, go there if want a good deal but watch out!

hinsaws is a nice place we get all of our acura there. Viger, 00TL, 06 RL, but there service department sucked balls when i went. they said they were going to vacuum my car and they didnt even remove the floor mats. i complained and they got it done for me. no big deal though.

Thank you all for your posts. I've been on vacation for the past week, that's why I haven't gotten back to you until now. But it's really nice to have the feedback from real people.
