I took in my 2007 Acural TLS for oil service and dealer calls me back saying that the below codes showed up and need service. Do i need this service and is the price right?

PC/Software update - $58
Purge Valve replacement (evap issue) - $269

 

Thats the fix for the "Tighten Gas Cap" message. If you have been seeing that I would do it. Fixed mine.

 

OP you can buy the purge valve from http://www.acuraoemparts.com/delray/...All&vinsrch=no. number 1 in the pics is what you need for $100 shipped and time need to be replace is about 10 mins max. seem like the dealer trying to put a hole in your wallet.
