Dealer drivers.....

I took my 2005 TL in to get the drivers side door fixed last week. It was a bad sensor or bad contact. Because when i was home it started " dinging" and the lights would come on when i was driving. So This happened for a little while every so often. Finally on the day i'm leaving for my 10 hour drive home it starts doing it every 5 seconds it seems like. My in dash info center has the little door open sign and it dinigs...well anyways i got to listen to that f or 10 hours....

So i took it in to get fixed. They gave me a loaner RDX and i cam back to get it about 3 hours later. I turn in the keys and they said their driver is bringing my car around. So stand out side and i see my car comming.
First- This guy is FLYING through the lot, then slams on the brakes when another car is comes out where he wants to park. Then while the car is still in moving forward slams the car into reverse and speeds back.
The car moves out and while moving backwards, slams it into forward and goes to BACK my car into a spot, while doing so...same thing while moving forward slams it into reverse while moving forward and then while moving backwards puts it park. I herd some noises come from the car when he did so because it happened 5 ft infront of me. i dont think he knew that iwas the owner of the car. As soon as he got out i went up and was like " WTF???" yelled at him and then called the dealership on the way home to complain....Could this really do anything to my tranny? i've herd it can have bad effects if done alot? Sorry for the long post.

I would have spoken immediatly with the service manager, not call later

That could have put a lot of wear on your transmission that wont show up for a while.

The lot porter needs educating, and the manager needs to know that customer cars are being abused--if there had been a collision , they would have been repairing your car for free!

Shit I would flip out if I saw that! I don't know what the dealership could do now but next time I hope they got some free service lined up for you! Or they will not care and just keep doing the same shit over and over again.

Yeah man, right then and there was the time to say something. As soon as he parked the car, I would have gone and gotten the service manager.

Talk about disrespectful. How would he like it if that was his ride. You may want to change dealerships for any repairs/maintenance, if you can.

What do you think speaking to the service manager would accomplish?

I can assume that you never worked valet when you were young?

Yeah well FYI. It was Pohanka Acura in Chantilly, VA...located in Fairfax County.

Well i called the and talked to someone who deals with complaints, meaning nothing will get done more than likely.

Oh and i was not exactly polite when i yelled at him. Infact i was f**king P*ssed off, and i think i used the f word a few times, and told him to never do that to any car. And that he might be a retard...

thats unbelievable, you shouldnt of just left like that, you should of went inside and definitely spoke with the service manager. there is no excuse why that guy had to speed to park. what was the outcome when you talked to him on the phone? also think about calling acura and making a dealership complaint

Oh geesh, that place......Honestly, I have not heard good things about any Acura dealer in our area.

Quick story - I stay not far from Karen Radley Acura. I stopped one morning to get gas and I see this guy literaly THROWS a RL into a parking spot. Now I noticed this for two reasons. 1) Obvious he didn't care about the car by the way he was driving it and 2) it had aspec wheels on it, same as on my TL (didn't look too bad either). So I finish pumping gas and go to get my coffee and I figure I would start up a quick convo with him. I compliment him on the wheels, tell him that I have a TL, blah, blah, blah. He tells me that he works at the Acura dealer up the street, hands me his card and tells me that if I need anything, come see him. Guess what his title was......."Service Manager". Need I say more?
