Dealer Bargaining Advice
I'd like to buy a TL in the next couple of weeks. I've been looking on and off for 2 years and have been expecting to buy a used one. However with the 09's getting ready to come out completely redesigned I feel like i can get a pretty good deal on a new one.
Invoice for the 08 w/nav is 33,283. I saw on a previous post (from dec 07) that for an 08 with Nav you should start at 29,200. That's lower than where I expected to start but with doing a little homework on holdbacks and now with their lot fully stocked in 08's and the 09's getting ready to come out I feel I have a pretty good bargaining chip. Any one disagree or have any other ideas on where to start?
I sent an email to my local dealership for a quote for an 08 w/nav and they came back with 4K under MSRP and said they could probably do better if I came in. This is their current incentive, i believe from Acura. I plan on financing with an external lender rather than using the special financing they are currently offering but I'm trying to figure out where I should start my negotiating.
Any pointers would be great!
