My 2007 TL MT is getting old and having more problems. The latest is that the dash display with the time and temperature is flickering and sometimes going off. Other dashboard lights are ok.

It does come back on when you hit the dash, so assume it's a wiring connection issue and not a fuse issue. Any easy way to get in there to fix it?

Sounds like loose wiring under the dash. Always fun. Giggle the wiring harness and try to narrow it down. Could be a wire loose in a connector, or a pinched wire or a loose ground.

yup, I guess was I was really asking is how to get in there and where the wires are likely to be.

Do a youtube search for console disassembly and see if you're up for it...

Hmmm... taking out that one part--assuming it doesn't require removal of the rest of the dash--doesn't look so bad.
