Daily mileage?

How many miles to do you put on your car everyday? How much is too much? I'm putting like 70 miles a day and I'm beginning to think that's way too much. To make matters worse, my commute to work will be 40 miles one way in just a few weeks.

I decided to use Mobile 1 since I spend a good amount of time in traffic. I hope this helps. Any thoughts?

I put about 80 miles a day on mine. 10 months old and have nearly 29K on the odometer. From my understanding of reading previous posts in acurazine; Mobil 1 is really for the longhaul like over 100K in miles. but I may be wrong. Anybody else care to chime in?

20.7 miles each way x 2 = about 42.0 miles a day x 5 = 210miles a week.

I'll average 15k a year.

50 Miles 6 to 7 days a week. The national average for miles per year has changed from 12,000 to 15,000.

I'm at about 60-70 miles a day. My TL is only 33 days old, and I already have 2,200 miles on it. When the summer comes, the trips to the Jersey Shore will definitely put me over 2,500 miles a month. I should have gotten an extended warranty.

It's a car, it's meant to be driven so drive it

I have a S/C'd TL and my daily commute is 135 miles. I use mobil 1 and change oil at every 7500 miles so it's about once every 2 months...

My drive is approx 70-75 miles per day (roundtrip). In the 10 months I've had my TL -- I've put on 18k miles.

17 miles/day going to and from the office (when I'm in town), plus an average of 50-100 miles a week driving to meetings and getting to the airport.

I put 17.5 miles to and from work so that calculates to about 35 mile round trip a day which is 175 for 5 day work. As some said before, my weekends also vary from 10 to 100+ miles.

About 5 miles round trip to work.

I make it up for 160+ mile trips (round trip) to visit the girlfriend in LA/Irvine over the weekends.

In a year I barely hit 16K miles.

800~1000 km per month, so it should be around 27 km a day, now my Type-s only got 3100 km and I own it almost 4 monthes, my friend's Type-s already exceed 4000 km and he only owns almost 2 monthes

I think I may hit 10000~12000km per year.

My commute is about 15 miles each way. I have an '04 TL that hit 33,600 miles this morning; for me this is not a lot of miles, and it's because in 2005 I bought a second car that I often drive on weekends, thus reducing my mileage. Also, the GF and I often use her car (an RSX Type-S) for football trips to Charlottesville that we previously would have taken in the TL (the RSX trunk and fold-down rear seat are more convenient for our tailgating stuff), so that shaves off over a thousand miles a year right there.

Back in 1996 I had a commute of 40 miles each way (Durham, NC, near Duke University to north of Raleigh, NC), easily driving over 500 miles a week in an Acura Legend. It was no big deal at all in terms of the car. I just kept up with the oil changes and maintenance schedules.

I think the answer to "how many miles are too many miles" depends on the driver and on the answers to these questions:

* Does the drive inordinately frustrate you?
* Can you afford the gas?
* If your commute increases the frequency of your service visits, can you afford that?
* If the answer to these is no, then ask whether the cost of the commute outweighs the cost and nuisance of moving, or whether the expense of your commute would be more bearable with a different car (provided you can stomach the other car....I drove a rental Ford Focus two weeks ago and quickly determined that I could never own one, regardless of fuel efficiency, reliability, or any other issues).

What the Acura dealers don't tell you is that around the end of your original car warranty, you have the option of getting an extended warranty at that time.

They don't tell you that cause they often wanna induce you to buying it straight up when you just get your car.

That is the way it is here for many dealers (Canada) i believe.

15 miles per day round trip; lunch not included. What gets me is going out; I drive 45 miles (each way) up to LA about 2 times a week. It also doesn't help that most of my friends live at least 15 miles away 6 months old and I have 8500 miles.
