Cutting required for Type-S rear A-Spec on a Type-S?

Tried searching and reading through a few things but still unclear and most posts are for the base version. The instructions for the Type-S rear lip shows cutting the exhaust opening sections of the bumper. But, the pictures show the base tips. What's going on here? Link

Is there a DIY thread for the Type-S a-spec? Most install posts are for the base. I assume the basics are the same.

Also, is it better to install the lip with the bumper off or on? Seems like you may get things lined up better with it on, just not sure about access to the hardware.

Kind of rushed today so I'll have to look into this some more later but figured I'd ask the people that have experience with this. Thanks!

Nothing?

Going to try and do this install over the holiday weekend. I assume it will make more sense once I get to actually get a chance to take a good look at the lip and the bumper together.

No cutting required. You just have to remove the plastic pins and the exhaust. Cutting is only required when installing on a Base model or an 04-06.

Remove the exhaust? I've never heard this.

Are you talking about the plastic trim pieces that go around the exhaust openings? I could see these coming out.
