Custom Tail Lights and Head Lights by AckTL05
Hello all. I am a new vendor here on AcuraZine, although I have belonged to this site for quite a while. I have done several tail lights for friends, family and myself and I decided to offer my service to AcuraZine members. Below are prices and pictures of the tail lights I have done, although I can do much more, depending on what you desire.
Prices:
It will be 150 + pay-pal fee on top of what you need to send me. The options below show my work and what I would need to get the project done. These options are not limited, as I can do much more. The price will include the glue/sealant/paint/service/etc. minus shipping back to you. I will use a fresh blade to open each pair of tail lights to ensure a perfect cut.
Blacked out Type-S: I will need you to send me a pair of TYPE-S tail lights. Picture below has just bezel painted black, although I can also tint the red diffuser and turn signal however you like.
Blacked out Base 07-08: I will need you to send me a pair of Base 07-08 tail lights. These still have the red turn signal and red reflector but they are completely black and light can still shine through.
Ghost or cleared out TYPE-S: I will need you to send me both OEM red tail lights and either TYPE-S tail lights or Base 07-08.
Blacked out OEM reds: I will need you to send me a pair of OEM reds.
Each pair of tail lights will be glued shut and sealed twice to ensure a perfect seal. I would advise you go to ACURA or search online and get new gaskets when changing your lights, as they are only 5 dollars. Please let me know what color you prefer for the bezel – flat or glossy, and also how dark/light you would like me to tint the diffuser, turn signal and reflector.
Color matching: I can have your bezel painted to match the color of your car. I would need you buy a 12 oz spray can of color with a bottle of clear coat and have it shipped to me from www.paintscratch.com. I will send you my address so it will come right to me and you will not have to waist your time/money on shipping.
Turnaround time: is about a week once I have received your tail lights and of course on the transit time. I will be sending them back to you once I receive full payment of 154.50 plus shipping using UPS or USPS insured for the full value with tracking.
Liability: Laws will vary from state to state, I would advise you to check your state laws before ordering tail lights as I will not be held personally liable if you get pulled over, or are in violation of DOT laws.
Limited Warranty: My work is guaranteed against leaks or fogging for 6 months, for all reasons other than owner’s negligence. Again, I advise you to use new gaskets.
Trade program: Since usage will vary on everyone’s tail lights, I can try and work something out for a trade depending on condition, style and if they are OEM or DEPO. It will not cover the full 150 and I will be interested mostly in BASE 07-08 and TYPE-S.

Interesting.. I think Brian had several taillight combos.. you might want to look them up as several of them were very popular.

I did not want to take someone else's work and say it was mine. Above are the ones that I personally have created. If someone wants to send me a picture of what they want, I can match that design. I will be posting up more pictures as my work progresses. I am in the mist of making a completely cleared out tail light.

You might as well offer every combo out there.. I doubt he'd take offense like you stole his idea. You'll get a lot more interest. Good luck taillight guy.

I will get pictures of our actual LED board with the tail light, I am just waiting for the repair shop to get my bumper back to me. I have a picture in the first post under references of my blacked out type s with a led flash light behind it. Our LED board it VERY bright and light will defiantly shine through. It looks darker then it is since it has a solid dark background.
As for tail lights. I am pretty sure it wouldn't matter if it is DEPO or type S since I am cutting them open and changing the whole insides. I have heard good and bad stories about them. The middle set in the ghost type s pictures is actually a DEPO pair. Its a difference of about 75 dollars new. I personally would look for an excellent pair of used ones, since you can get them for around 75 less than new. I myself, look around for excellent condition OEM pairs, so that I can make them and save you money and the hassle.

^^ the stock led board should be bright enough. being that the brake light area is smoked and not blacked out. my side markers are completely blacked out and at night you wouldnt even be able to tell, the light shine so clear. tails def look sick. also, im thinking if the reflective backing is not painted on the turn signal the light should still shine thru just fine. hope this helps a bit.. good luck

AckTL05, consider offering the choice of removing the LED frosted cover on the inside of the taillight. That white frosted cover that covers the LED boards...it makes the LED shine brighter, clearer, and a crystallized effect during the daytime when the LEDs are turned off.
This is the frosted cover that NEEDs to be removed IMO:
The difference is NIGHT AND DAY!

Even during the day, looking at the circuit board through the clear lens without the frosted cover produces a crystallized effect....turning the LEDs on during the day makes it shine brighter and even better!!!
Do it for yourself and you'll see what I'm talking about.
