Brake Kit Interest has been high, I'm hoping this company jumps on it and becomes a sponsored Vendor. For those of you attending the SoCal meet, I should have my brakes installed on my 04 TL then

lol 13 yrs oil, u can ask ur high school teacher

for wilwood it's about 1500 for 4 piston, and 1700 for 6 piston setup, consider the 6 pistons caliper costs 100 more than the 4 pistons each

this is just my estimate, but it is very accurate if not on a group buy price

Update Actual Pictures of the Kit!!!!

Updated pictures guys, here is the actual production kit for the 04-05 TL. These are the same rotors and calipers for the rear and front. Of course CNC engraving can be done, and you can get these in any color you want.

TAKE A LOOK, this brake kit is fantastic, I had a change to compare these to rotoras, and there is no comparison. Nicer rotors, bigger calipers, and of course the fact that these kits are custom made for your car, instead of cross compatibility like Rotoras..

Anybody interested now

I am sorry Fitz, but that rotor hat has only 4 lug nut holes in it. Our cars use 5 holes.

Bunch of wise ass's lol, ok let me correct myself. This is the same model of rotor, caliper, brake lines and pads that will be in the production unit. Also some things such as the lug nut holes and size of brake pads will be different from shown Cannot miss a thing on this forum, thanks for speaking up boys

I would be a buyer for a matched 4 or 6 piston setup, front & rear.

They will clear the OEM wheels, and fitment issues for these brakes is 90% the size of the wheels, not offset dependent.

hey fitz,
did you have any issues with the template as far as clearance goes? I've got the template already but haven't found the time to take off rim, rotor, caliper to do the fitting but was just curious since we both have basically the exact same setup with 19's and Tein S drop (but I'll still do the fitment anyway).

Either way, I like em and glad I ordered the set. The rotors with the black hats and black calipers will really complement the look of my 19's with the black powder coated/aluminum spokes and the brushed lip. Already getting crazy compliments about the drop. Can't imagine with the BBK to boot.

Also, any updates on the number of additional peeps that have joined in with us (the first 3 including yourself and the other fella with the anthracite...6speedV6 I think)? Sounds like your getting a killer deal now considering you're getting them "for free." PM me if you need to. Also curious on pricing you might have for the rear rotors as well.

Thanks man.

I would be very interested in this. I dont like the idea of shelling out 2k just for the Brembo fronts. If these guys could beat it and offer the front AND rear, well, I would be all over it.... Keep us posted

Last I heard, the front kit IS in production. Rear kit is in the works. About $3k for the complete set (F & R).

Hey Mugen / Loki, you guys get around to doing the damn template yet? I finally put it on the cardboard but still haven't found time to take the rim, rotors, and calipers off yet to confirm sizing. Lates!

I like the idea for an auto and manual aftermarket brake set-up like this that offers the Acura Imprint. I would be intrested in a group buy. What kind of warranty do they offer?

Hey mugen, where are you man! haha!

hey! i'm here... i've been working non stop for the past 3 weeks. 7 days a week, putting in about 73 hours a week!

i got the template measured out and i did it while the wheel (volks) was on the car
but it'll fit.
so i gave them the ok to start mine.

Count me in, got 35k miles and need front brakes soon anyway. I'm interested more for show than anything and these look bad ass. I don't even care if it's the Wilwood logo or not, I've seen them on plenty of cars. Sure Brembo's are more common.. Check this month's Car & Driver. There's the annual tuner show-down and lot's of the entries have Wilwood brakes. Furthermore, all 4 wheels for under 3k is a great deal.

PS.. what did you pay for the custom kit?

Brakes are finally there!!

The brakes are almost ready to be powdercoated, Mugen and SpecialEd will have there kits shortly.

Here are some shots of the brake kit, identical to the one for the 04+ TL on a new mustang... Very Very very hot CNC machining is on these ones..

The rear brakes with the parking brake addition
