You could jusat buy a really long straw if you're having trouble removing the drink!

Did our car come with cup holder extension? That little plastic thing that fits into the holder. I thought it did, but I dont see it any more.

But since you didn't get an answer the first time, you're excused.

I thought our car came with it, but I went out to check and it isn't there, so maybe I am thinking of my 1G TL as the one that had the insert.

There is a picture of a cup, #36, but no listing for it in the parts list, so maybe they changed their minds. And I know I didn't get anything that looked like that when I got the car.

Cup or Ashtray insert?

Ron A,

just a question? Could that "cup" part #36 be the optional ashtry insert?

Now that you mention it, yes. Good catch. I was looking at it like it was a cup with a cover, but you got it right.

It is with some reservation that I do this, but I feel it is my civic duty to bring this up, just in case any new TL owners are unaware of it...

One thing I'd like to note on cupholders is that you need to be careful with styrofoam cups. The place I went to lunch today gives you styrofoam cups...they fit into the cup holder quite well (good and snug), but when you pull them out, the rubber fingers can dent/poke the cup. Depending on how thick/sturdy your cup is, it might actually get pierced, causing the drink to leak out (this actually did happend to me one time way back...not much leaked, thankfully). Just thought I'd throw this out there as an FYI.

Ron A - Happy Friday...I know how much you like this thread.

trancemission - I know what you're thinking, good ol' Chill needs a vacation, but in my defense, I'm not the last person to bump the GTO thread, this isn't the oldest cupholder thread, and I honestly didn't see this point made in any thread during my search (BJ did a nice field study, but did not mention this phenomenon).
