Cracked Dash

I have met many TL owners that had the issue with their dash unreasonably cracking, and Acura had replaced the dash. If you have had your dash replaced in the past at no charge, can you share with me the following:
What was the mileage of your car at the time?
Did you service it at an Acura dealership for regular maintenance?
Did you purchase Acuras before your TL?
Were you the original owner?

Any help would be appreciated.

turn up your charm and finesse your acura dealership. it's the only way, now that the car is at least 10 years old...

or just realize that it is a 10 year old car and things may crack and break

i don't know if i've ever heard of anyone getting it replaced free of charge after 2010. most have to pay 400 as a minimum and that's only if they sweet talked their dealer. good luck

or you can buy the dashmat, it mimics stock and NO ONE will know you have a dash cover...its very slim.

Dashmat looks too much like carpet... any others out there? Spending over $100 for a new dash that should not crack in the first place is ridiculous. I have a toyota with over 200k miles and no cracks. The TL was in the garage for most of it's 10 years!

I personally wouldn't do it but coverlay coukd be a viable option.

bro, you're preaching to the choir.
Instead of complaining about a vehicle, DO something about it.

you might brush off the carpet today, BUT i'm telling you, it looks stock and no one would be the wiser

agree with gg, use the coverlay... have a local trim shop install it for another $100 or so and won't be able to tell...

You forgot to mention Toyota dash does not crack however they DO melt. Glad I got the 01 IS300 instead of softer dash on the 02+, the dash on the LS460 starting to melt too.
