crack...
anybody know if dime sized cracks on your windshield can be fixed without replacing the whole windshield? my friend who works at a body shop claims that its possible. anybody know for sure or have experience?

dime size would be highly unlikely. check your insurance policy to see if it covers windshield replacement. some will replace it if "impairs" your ability to drive safely. i have gotten cracks repaired before but never dime size. they were more like pepper size.

On my old Eclipse GST, my insurance company paid to have an approximate dime-sized crack/chip filled-in and glazed over by one of those windshield companies. I couldn't even tell where they repaired it when they were done.
I would check with your insurance company like the previous poster said; however, I know they repaired my dime-sized crack with no problems.

At least threes types of Crack
I got excited when I saw the title, too bad you're all talking about windshields... The other two options would've been more interesting. :p
