Coverking StormProof Car Cover- killer deal
I wanted to share the Christmas cheer of the deal I just found by accident...
I've been researching online, and on the forum, for over a month about car covers for my 2004 Black TL. I settled on the CoverKing Stormproof custom-fit. My car is outside all the time, which hey, it sucks, but it's my daily driver so using a cover is pointless. This summer, however, I'll be gone May-August, so I need to get a cover for it. Or it will be destroyed by the birds and sun and weather.
Everywhere you look, for a straight-black one, it's $319 with free shipping. Not bad. But then this morning I price-matched in shopping carts and used various coupon codes, and I ended up here:
http://www.autoanything.com/car-cove...icleId=3245625
Now, they have a promo going on (not sure for how long) where you get a "free care kit" when you buy this. That didn't draw me in at all, but I DID want a storage back and lock and cable kit for it, and this was the only one I found that gave me the option of buying those too at the same time. I checked the box next to both of them under color options and such, and then "Add to Cart".
Then, to my surprise, I had six items in my cart. The three I ordered (cover, key and cable kit, storage bag). And then another three, which were listed as "free".
-Cable and lock kit
-Storage bag
-Duster
So I did some investigating. Called their customer service. Turns out the optional stuff I would've paid for is what's sitting in my shopping cart for free. Plus a duster.
TL;DR
In short:
Cover- listed at $320
Extras- $65 (no duster)
Total before: $380
But because I called and ordered it over the phone, they gave me a lower price. $287 for everything. Even just for the cover, this is a killer price. But with the extras...it is bordering on absurd.
So basically I saved $90 for calling. No haggling, no asking, no shenanigans. Straight-up saved money.
If you've been eyeing a new car cover, or want to find a killer deal on what is supposed to be the best cover out there, this could be the deal you've been waiting for.
One love.

Cool! Thanks for sharing.
When will you be fitting it on the car? Will it fit over the A-Spec lip kit?

It should be shipping within the next week or so, so I'll try it out then. I just work from home at the moment, so I will definitely take pictures and give you a heads-up about how it fits, how it looks, etc.
I don't have an A-SPEC kit on my TL (it's vanilla on the outside), but I can definitely measure it out once it's on the car to give you an idea of how it would look with an A-SPEC lip. So stay tuned!

Ya, I ordered my brake rotors and pads last week from Autoanything.com online...wasn't getting the discount that it said online. So I called them and put the order in over the phone and they gave me an even bigger discount for ordering over the phone w/them.
