clutch fluid bleed procedure?

did the slave cylinder mod....went yo bleed the clutch but i dont think im doing it properly and now have air in the line from the slave cylinder being partially empty of fluid when i reinstalled it. i know to keep the reservoir full of fluid to make sure air doesnt get in that way but someone mentioned that the SC fork need to be jammed so that it cant move? i dunno

could someone break down the proper steps to bleed it correctly?

thanks!

this si what i was told so far, anyone want to add anything?

What I did is:

Close the bleeder valve
Pump the pedal 10-15 times
Hold the pedal to the floor (either with a board or another person)
Loosen the bleeder - let some fluid/air come out
Tighten the bleeder
Let up on the pedal
Check reservoir - fill if necessary

Repeat this 5-10+ times until all the fluid in the clutch lines has been bled. While you're at it, just cycle out all of the old fluid and wait until you see nothing but clear, bubble-free fluid come out the bleeder.

Just as a note, you WILL want to attach a small hose to the bleeder and bleed the contents into an empty bottle. Something clear so that you can see the quality of fluid coming out. This will help keep the fluid off of your engine and paint. (VERY BAD) Also, make sure you always screw the reservoir cap back on tight after you check/fill it. You never want to pump the pedal with the cap open. It will let more air back in the lines.

super easy man

-remove top 2 bolts of the slave (youll see them straight down and to the lef tof the battery. one bolt holds a bracket with a wire on it that tucks out of the way. youll need a ratchet with 2 long extensions

-now that the slave is dangling by the hyrdo line you just need an adjustable wrench to hold the larger nut and an 8mm to undo the nut for the hydro line. very litte fluid if any will come out at this time

- pull out the slave cylinder

- sit down and be patient with this thing because the c ring is a bitch. youll need a hook/pick set ($5 at autozone). i used brake cleaner on the c-ring to i could see it better since there was dirt in there. after 10 minutes i was able to get it free.

- use needlenose to pull the cap off

- turn the slave cylinder around and use something tiny like a small allen wrench to push out the saftey valve thing

- then just put it back together and bleed the system
