Clunk noise after strut replacement
Good Afternoon all!
wanted to post this one out to see if anyone has had a similar issue, if so please point me in the right direction.
I recently changed the struts all around with OEM units on my 08 Type S. I noticed the rears were clunking and decided it was time to fix it. The issue is I am still experiencing a slight clunk on coming from the front and I am stumped. has anyone experienced this after replacing the struts? Thanks for taking time to read! for reference, my TL is at 188k miles

You used shocks that you purchased from Acura, that were meant specifically for the 04-08 TL?
Or did you use aftermarket OE replacement parts that were meant to be shared with TSX's and Accords?
How did you fix the clunk on the rear? Any chance you have the same issue up front?

Did you go with fully assembled struts/springs/bearings? Or did you have to assemble the strut assembly prior to install? If the later are you sure you tightened the nut down all the way. It is common for there to be a clunk if the nut is not tightened all the way. Also did you use new bearings? If not they could be the source of the clunk.

OE equipment specifically for TL type s. I didn't buy fully assembled struts, I reused the previous springs. can you elaborate how the bearings would be the source of the clunk?

There are no bearings. Its a double wishbone and multi-link suspension.
OP...check the installation.
You didn't say how you fixed the clunk in the rear.
In the end....just go check for the noise and fix it. We're not gonna be able to diagnose your car remotely with the info you've offered.
