Truckers these days LOL..So I'm driving on highway 78 west bound towards Lehighton, Pa.. BTW this has to be the smoothest highway i have driven on in the east coast lol..I'm in the middle lane and i see a piece of ply wood ( largest size they have in home depot ) in the air, I happened to get lucky and it flew right above me and hit the Mazda CX-7/9?. A sec later i noticed another one flying off a truck on the right. The usual everyone else panicked, my spidey senses kicked in and i pulled over on to the shoulder. Funny thing is the truck kept on driving and didn't know what the hell was going. Shortly i arrived at my destination that was actually closed down a few weeks ago LOL.. As much as we try to keep our cars from harms way something will always happen and with me i think i have issues with trucks. In high school i was driving my parents benz to school and it actually got totaled because a garbage truck hit me ( no fault accident btw ) and just about a month ago i almost got t-boned by a semi truck in NJ. dude ran a red light i braked but it was still too late so i just hoped for the best. I even slightly moved over to the passengers side because the truck was coming on my drivers side it was really close because i was even able to see through the grill : (..this guy also kept on driving while i pulled over to the shoulder SHAKING!!

Wow! You gotta be on your toes for things like this. Today it was reported a grill was on the highway. Yesterday it was plywood. And I've also heard of ladders that fall off trucks. I've seen garden hoses, 5 gallon buckets (which I hit in my old TSX) and one thing I really hate are those trucks with trees. Leafs and branches are flying everywhere. Glad you're okay.

While I commend semi drivers for the work they do, and for how they have to deal with other idiots on the road all day long, some can just be flat out careless. I was almost side swiped by one last week while taking a curve on the expressway...the guy had no clue where his lane was. Thankfully there was a shoulder to the left.

Rhafi, your story gives a whole new meaning to "defensive driving".
