OK i have been hearing this sound near the front of my car when i accelerate hard and downshift.. like when the car lurches up or down quick it will make a clickin sound a few times.. its really driving me crazy and i wanna find out why its makeing that sound!! if anyone can help with the situation it would be appretiated!!!

bring it to the dealership if it's under warranty; that's what i did, and found that there were a few loose bolts under the car.

it sounds like its coming from like the wheel area... when im at a light and i accellerate and the car lurches up ill hear a click clikc click and then when i let go of the gas and the car comes back down it will make the same sound! i dont know how eles to explaine it.

yea I think if u print out the bulletin and show it to the tech and duplicate the noise they wouldn't have a problem fixing it.. IF that's the problem. I just thought it may be related

Sounds like an axle... but axles only make sound when pressure is applied. does it make noise when your turning

Turn the drivers side wheel so it facing left ,look at the axle and cv boot and see if the cv boot is leaking if it is, you need to replace the axle 100% and there's your problem.

My '05 6MT had the same problem. The dealership replaced the front pads and rotors which didn't fix the problem. I brought it back and they claimed "normal operation". It clicked until I traded it for my '07 TLS, and I'll bet it still does for whoever owns it now.

Your dealer is a dipshit. That's a classic sign of a faulty CV joint.

yea both my axles broke from the snow, spinning tires trying to get out and the guy at the dealer hooked me up under warranty

yeah i looked at that but i and doubtful that is what it is.. it almost more or a racheting sounds not a metal on metal sound... ahh i hate this shit.. nothing bothers me more then when my car makes a noise lol

Hey i think i have the same problems, but when i look at it i think there are rocks stuck in your tires. I looked at my tires the other day, and pulled some rocks that where stuck and the noise was gone.

naw nothing in the tires its adistinct sound... only when the cars front end moves up and down under acceleration or downshifting

jove I just took my car in for this a few months ago. They changed my entire left front wheel hub and bearing assembly.

I had the head mechanic sitting on the ground right next to my left front wheel and as I let out the clutch it almost sound like a spring decompresing. little clicking sounds. well they changed that assembly and that did it.

its not the heat shield. I have that reoccurring issue as well and that sound I am very familiar with...
