Clear Markers/HID fog lights
Hey all,
Im looking to change the bulb out on the side markers to clear instead of orange. Has anyone done this yet, if so how much of a pain in the ass is it? I assume you have to take the wheel off and the inner fender cover and go in that way.......beyond that how hard is it. Also getting clear instead of orange in the headlight fixture. Has anyone done that? I have seen smoked but not clear. Last thing. Is there a way to get HID bulbs for the stock fog lights that come on the car? The headlights alone look tight but when you turn on the fogs, they look dirty in compairison. Any help would be great!!

Or you could do this for the fogs. I went with Polarg Ion Yellow 9006 bulbs for the fogs, and at $60 it was well worth it. The look is a nice contrast, and since I have put them in, no one has flashed me!

Thats cool. Again, some like it some dont. The main reason I did that was for contrast with the HID's, and cost. I have always been a fan of the IS & GS when they have HID's and Yellow Fogs, so I decided to give it a try and see if I liked it.
I actually also noticed that visibility at night has greatly improved. The yellow seems to cover a much broader area of road, especially at the sides of the streets.

Maybe someone can correct me on this, but I thought our headlights were only around 4,500K. So if you installed the 6000k for your fog lights then your fog lights will be brighter than your headlights. Is this the look you're going for?
I also want to change the fog lights. Has anyone changed all four bulbs (headlights and fog lights) to the 6000k HIDs? Wonder how that'll look.

I am going to change out my stock low beams (4300k) to the 6000K. This will actually decrease my output, but add color. I figure the addition of my 6000K fog lights will cancel out the loss in lighting, if not result in an overall gain.
I will be installing sometime this week, and will post pics of alot of before and after combinations.
