does anyone know a reliable place for clear bra and tint in ny/nj area? just curious, how much does the clear bra cost? does anyone kow if i could get 30% tint? thanks guys.

Here's a link to search for a 3M installer. You also google clearbra and come up with 3rd sellers and installers like Xpel. I know there were a number of people who got tint/PPF in NY/NJ and hopefully they can come up with some recommendations.

Pinstripe Pete, he does the clear bra and custom moulding protection work for most of the new car dealers in the Bronx and Westchester including Curry Acura.

Here he is doing mine the day before delivery just after he installed a 5/8" thick moulding on my rear bumper to protect from dents and ring dings (license plate bolt circles).


In the end, I recommend buying the 3M clear bra material from whomever does the installation.

Clearbra + install can run from $400 and up. Cost will vary by locale and who does the install. As far as tint (depending on type of film), you're looking at $150+. Again, the cost will vary by location. FYI, don't get a dyed film, the only dyed film I would recommend is 3MCS (guranteed not to fade). Either a light metallic film or ceramic film. You get what you pay for.......

Yes......both tint & clearbra were installed at Lorenzos, in the Tri-state area the product and installation can range from $650 to $750. If you where at the meet today you probaly viewed my TL today, tell me what you think about the clearbra & tint. If you want it installed I'll see about discounting the install. Sorry for not introducing myself today......TL looks hot nice & clean also.

Lorenzo can do the tint install for $300 and that includes the moleskin, the rear quarter glass removal so the tint can be applied covering the entire glass, microedging to the entire window, and complimentary wash for your vehicle. My TL I have 5% on all the glass including the sunroof and the windshield has 20% applied to it. I recommend 35% on the entire car and probaly get a UV Shield for the windshield to protect your dash and the interior and in the summer time it cools the car off when the A/C is operating in 100 degree weather.
