Are you referring to the 2.4 (LE5)? As far as I know that is just a larger version of the 2.2 (L61) that GM has been using since 2000 and not a borrowed design from any partner.

The use of a Honda V6 in the Vue was related to an engine swap deal to provide Honda with a small engine (diesel I think) in the European market. That only lasted a few years, then GM replaced the Honda V6 with a GM V6 in later models.

And just a heads up to those who think the TL's style is original..

look up the Alfa Romeo 156.

in the end we get japanese reliability and italian styling which is a great combo.
