Question Cheapest TL insurance in Southern California?

I'm thinking of switching my AAA insurance.

I think AAA is over charged. Acurazine members, any suggestions?

Seems like geico is decent.

I found Mercury to be the best. I pay a pretty decent rate with Panzara Mercury.

I have Esurance and I was very pleased with their great service and how fast they resolve the claims. I had my first accident and they took care of me right away. Been with them for 5 years and their service hasn't changed. My payments for 6 months on the TL were cheaper than the TSX.

I was with Esurance before, but when I bought the TL they increased the rate by much.

I switched to Mercury...my broker is in Culver City, West LA (PHD Broker) and they don't charge brokerage fees

I never believed in insurance ads when people say "I save $600 a year for my auto insurance" that kind of crap, but I think I did this time..big time..

Though, I think insurance is not car specific, but it's more about your driving history, etc (the risk each company is willing to access for each driver is different, that's why it's good to have a broker)

Go online and try www.wawanesa.com

I pay almost $1000 and my car is a lease. I used to have Mercury and it was $1200 and went up to $1350. So I switch to wawanesa

At least in GA they only look at the past 3 years, or so I keep hearing.

More and more insurance companies are starting to use your credit score as well in determining your premium, as well as past driving record, age, where you live, etc....

I've been with Farmers for like 15 years now.... and no problems. But my rate did go up like $100 recently. I'll have to check out Esurance, Mercury, and Wawanesa out.

Oh, and I agree that AAA is expensive. I've gotten price quotes from them before and they were one of the most expensive.

I've been with Costco/Ameriprise for 4-5 years. The rate goes down every year. You can get a quote online without talking to any human. You have to be a Costco member thou.
I filed claims twice. Both times are pretty painless. The premium is also much lower than other companies that I called.
Just go to costco.com

I pay 1400/year for full coverage on my TL and my integra with AAA. AAA and state farm have always been considerably cheape than most everyone else. I have 1 accident on my record when I totaled my R6 and AAA covered everything, paying quickly while being very friendly.

Farmers has always been amog the more expensive for everyone i know. i started off with them and was happy to switch away

i'm also with mercury and it's about $400.00 cheaper than anything else i could find. i've heard from my insurance agent that they're hardasses when it comes to paying out which is easily believable considering how much cheaper their rates are. anyone here ever filed a claim with them?

wow what is the name of that insurance company where u pay $90 a month for full coverage on a 40k car. I've got a clean record and I pay $200 montly for full coverage. Let me know so I can switch tomorrow. I think the price I they gave me was really really good considering I'm the only one on the policy and I'm 21. I don't think I'm paying to much for my insurance. Now that I know I can pay $90 give me the name.

I have a 2008 TL-S and I pay $450/month as well. My insurance is with Shelter. I also have two other vehicles on the policy, so I probably have a multi-vehicle discount...but I am also 30 years old and married. There are a lot of factors that go into how they factor your premium. My wife and I both have completely clean driving records, so that probably helps as well.

LOL. I would say that helps. You've got 9 more yrs of driving experience than I do. But I can't complain for what I got. For a lease, my name only on the policy, car being over 40K and the only one on the policy, being 21 yrs old, I think that was a fair deal.

Wow 450 is a pretty good deal not having a clean driving record.

I just paid my insurance today so I'm looking at the policy as I write this. I pay $482 for six months coverage at 21st Century. I've had 21st since 1990 so maybe there are cheaper alternatives out there, but these guys are definitely cheaper than Statefarm and AAA. Our 2005 Pilot is a little less at $409 with my wife being the primary driver.

We also have higher than normal coverage: 500k/accident $250K/person instead of the usual 300K/100K, $500 comprehensive deductible, and $1000 collision deductible, rental car reimbursement and towing. So I pay a little more for the added coverage.

I have Esurance, and it's the cheapest of anybody I've quoted, by far.

2007 TLS
2007 BMW X3

2 drivers... me being 25, and the wife is 23...

$218/month for both cars, both drivers, with EXCELLENT full coverage.

The people paying $450/month are also in GA and OK, completely different to CA.........

I have a perfect record (no accidents/tickets), 9 years of being licensed, awesome credit, a good zip code.......and I still pay $1150/year for insurance on my 04. That is the best I could find. I'm with Wawanesa, Mercury was alittle higher, and I never shopped Esurance at the time.

Dude, $1150/year is AWESOME...

Plus, California recently passed a law that doesn't allow insurance companies to base rates on credit score... finally a GOOD law CA has passed, since that's B.S. to begin with.

A 200 TL isn't really comparable to an '07 TL or TLS as far as rates go...
