Hi All,

I was about to place an order, but wanted to confirm a few things...good thing I just realized it!

Part 17: BLADE, WINDSHIELD WIPER (650MM) 76620-TA0-A01 $20.16
Part 19: BLADE, WINDSHIELD WIPER (475MM) 76630-TA0-A01 $16.36

Replacement inserts:
Part 18: Rubber Blade 650MM 76622-STK-A02 $4.13
Part 20: Rubber Blade 475MM 76632-TA0-A02 $3.80
I know part numbers had been provided for the Honda parts, but do we know what Honda year model the blades fit into? I am sure it is fine, but would like to get confirmation before I spend the money. Additionally what Acura year model do these wipers fit into?

From the OP's sig, he has a 2010 Honda Accord and 2004 Acura TL. From the sig and a reference thread I read on AZ, 8G Accords (08-12) fit into 3G Acura TLs. Can someone confirm if these parts will fit into an 2005 Acura TL? Also any pics of old and new for comparison?

Thanks!

The OP posted back in 2013 so it is unlikely we'll hear or see anything from him. I am more hoping of a response from the latter posters. I must just do it if no one responds soon, cause I need some wipahs!

Just get the OEM Acura wiper blades. They are excellent and cost about $30 for both if you order online and pick up at the dealer (estore.honda.com) or have it shipped to you (oemacuraparts.com). Combine it with a $3 gallon of Rain-X wiper fluid from AutoZone/Advance Auto Parts, and you'll barely even use your wipers.

Parts:

76620-SEP-A01 (driver's side blade) - $17.82
76630-SEP-A01 (passenger's side blade) - $10.94

The price will be slightly different when you place your order.
These part numbers cover 2004-2008, Type-S and non-Type-S.

Amazon.com: PIAA 95048 Super Silicone Black Wiper Blade, 19" (Pack of 1): Automotive Amazon.com: PIAA 95048 Super Silicone Black Wiper Blade, 19" (Pack of 1): Automotive

PIAA wipers are the best I have ever owned. I bought these more than 2.5 years ago and I'm just about to put some replacements on. These things bead rain off and I rarely need to turn my wipers on unless there is a torrential downpour. I live in Seattle and these have seen their fare share of rain/snow.

I bought these months ago and finally installed them a couple of weeks ago....and for pics. If you want to see a more specific view, let me know and I will try to go get them.

A different question....does anyone else have a problem with the wipers tapping the trim (driver's pillar) at the top of their cycle? I associated it with the GoodYear wipers I was using from Costco for the past 2-3 years. But it is still doing it with these Honda blades on.

It sounds like the dealer tech didn't adjust the wiper arms properly after performing the recall work on the wiper motor.

I've got a pair of Goodyear blades from Costco on the TL now, and otherwise always had the OEM blades (I just changed inserts)-- the blades have never struck the windshield trim. At its furthest travel, the driver's side blade ends up parallel to the A pillar, less than an inch away from it.

Interesting...I do not recall the original wipers that were on the car when I bought it doing that....but that was several years ago. We didn't notice it until the GY wipers were put on. Although it was my wife who initially complained and she had just started taking my car to work around that time. No idea about the recall work or when that may have been done. Assuming it was done prior to me purchasing the car in '08.

I did this mod as well. The 8G Accord wipers work great, much better than stock. I think they look nice too. Since I noticed other people asking for pics:

now I wonder if there are any more low profile wiper arms from other cars that can fit the 3g TL. when the 1st gen tsx got the mid cycle refresh in 2006, they got low profile wipers that are barely able to be seen. however, the TL used the same wipers all 2004-2008

Is fixing this as easy as undoing the nut on the wiper and moving the wiper down a bit and tightening it back up? Looking at the diagram from the first post, loosen up #24, pull wiper arm up and put back down a few splines lower and then put nut back on?

Looking at the other pictures that are posted, my driver side blade for sure does not sit as low on the windshield.

I'm in the market for some new blades too. Do these blades come with the inserts the first time or do you have to buy both separately and then just the inserts after that? Am I following correctly that I should buy the 8th gen Accord blades, not the 7th gen?

Anyone know if these also fit the 7th gen Accord?

Yep, buy the 8th gen Accord blades, and yes, they come with the inserts. IDK if they fit on the 7th gen Accords or not. A good way to find out is to take the stock blades off your TL and see if they fit on the Accord. If they do, then the 8th gen Accord blades will fit as well.

Got my 8G Honda wipers to put on my 3G Acura and they do look must more sleeker. The new passenger is shorter, but the driver is roughly the same size. Overall I am happy.

If you want to move the arm down then yes, however the bolt can be a PITA to remove sometimes.

If you want the newer wipers, all you do is unclip the old ones and clip in the new ones, that's it!

The Bosch Icon does this as well. I removed the wiper arm and reset the idle position about 1/8" further down - the issue is gone. It takes maybe 4 minutes to adjust and is, as csmeance noted, a bit of a PITA.

I've been using the high end Michelin wipers and they last like a fucking year and still wipe well. Snow and ice... Doesn't matter. And I drive about 25k a year.

I generally avoid buying the inserts online...shipping usually kills the joy. I stop by my local Honda dealer and grab them there.

There's online dealers that do free shipping, few of them on ebay.
