Charger SRT-8 or TL?
Whats up Azine?.. I got a question to ask, and wanted to see yall's opinions.. I'm looking into getting a Dodge Charger SRT-8 and get rid of the TL.. Would yall do it? Why or why not? I've always loved the look of the Charger, and the SRT-8 is pure sex to me.. So what would you suggest? Thanks in advance! IMO - 6.1l > 3.2l

I really like the way those Chargers look. It's a mean, fast, 4 door muscle car. Gas mileage will SUCK compared to your TL and lack certain things such as (HIDs).
At 17 I assume your insurance will be higher as well. If I was driving a Charger at 17 it would have been wrapped around a tree or impounded. There's a large aftermarket for the LX cars and you would gain a lot of rwhp per mod.
How long would you keep any of these cars? If you want to keep a car through college that will not cost you a ton of cash, keep your TL.

Unless your well off your gonna be shooting yourself in the foor with insurance rates and gas comsumption. Yeah you might say 6.1>3.2 but now your talking 17mpgs in your 6.1 from 24 from your 3.2
Its your dime but thats my twin pennies
and i totally agree with putting this bitch into a tree or a ditch at that age but it sure would be fun !! !

It depends on what you want and I'm assuming that isn't the greatest gas mileage or you wouldn't be looking at Chargers. If your looking for a faster rwd car then def go for it. But if you are super worried about mpg then it might be a better idea to look into a different foreign V6 that you can customize and make wicked fast via upgrades. That way you would get relatively good mpg and be super duper quick.

I like the SRT8 but I wouldn't trade in my TL for one.
As mean as it looks on the outside, the interior slacks big time. I test drove a SRT8 Magnum before I got my TL and I was surrounded by cheap boring grey plastic. Have fun filling up the SRT8 as well. That 6.1 liter will suck down gas like no other.

If you can deal with the huge cheap plastic pieces in the interior, go for it. Not saying that anything Acura makes contains luxury plastic, but the TL interior looks a lot better IMO than anything coming out out of the Chrysler camp - even after taking gub'ment loot.
I was considering going after the SRT-8; gas mileage wasn't a big deal for me and the car looks so damn mean, however juvenile... It has the TL beat on the outside, but craps all over itself on the inside.

depends really, TL is a classy luxury smooth driving vehicle whereas the charger is a bright loud car with alot of race potential
i myself got the tl to kind of take the backseat to the whole OMG BRO LETS RACE WHEN I SEE YOU AT A STOPLIGHT mentality
thats not to say the tl isnt fast, but it doesnt merit as much of that attention
in the end id stick with the tl and maybe add a supercharger to give it some more balls

The SRT 8 is a mean good looking car, tons of fun to drive, lots and lots of power.
but still a piece of $#!+
the TL will still drive smooth when that engine goes to $#!+ in a couple of years maybe faster if u beat on it real bad
i would never trade my TL for any newer american car unless i can make a profit out of it to buy me something better and Japanese maybe euro
If it were a classic Charger 70s thats another story, then defenetly.

High insurance rates. Why?...because the chances of you at 17, wrapping the STR8
around a pole is REAL high. That's not an opinion, it's a fact
On top of that: poor mpg, poor quality build and reliability, the list is so long that trading your TL would not be a mature decision
