Question CF Door Pillar Set?

being that i have carbon fiber inserts in my headlights, smoked markers all around, and dark tint on all back windows, do u think i should get these to continue the theme? i don't think they are over the top and not flashy like the chrome ones people usually get .. does anyone have this set?

Hmm...I have a ding in my trim that was there when I bought the car. I think the CF would go nicely on a AM TL. More info please. Tried my Google Foo, but not a lot to be found at automotivetrims.com or "hakimov"...

These are NOT real Carbon Fiber people, the material looks exactly like it, but it's not. I got these for my previous car (Mazda 6) and was extremely disappointed with the quality. I got these instead of the $200 AutoExe ones, but I ended up getting the AutoExe ones anyway...

Gerzand has these on his NBP TL and they look good. I'm a carbon fiber fan, I think they'll look fine, expecially on your ABP TL. On a lighter colored TL-maybe not, but on a darker colored car, you should be OK-especially since you've already got the Carbon Fiber theme already going.

ok that's fine they are not real carbon fiber, but why dissapointed if they "Look Exactly" like the real thing?? is it just a preference so you can say.. yea these are real carbon fiber for bragging rights? if that's the case i don't care who thinks they are real or not lol,, it's about the look for me,, not someone coming up and saying hey are those real? know what i mean? whats the big deal.. so what who cares

Cool, I think the real Carbon Fiber set would be so expensive, it would be prohibitive.

I personally wouldn't get them just yet. From what I read, you only have CF inserts which take up a small portion of the headlamp, so you don't really have a CF "theme" going on here. Not as flashy as the chrome ones, but it's just like the people who have them and the only other chrome on their car is the headlamp housing. Plus, CF's main purpose is weight reduction but it's also meant to give a more "sporty, race - inspired" look. But when I think of CF covers on door sills, I think of ricers at Pepboys. But HEY, that's just my opinion.

Depends. Some of the cheaper ones the clear fades over time and it looks like crap later on. I have seen some ebay ones fade and its not pretty but it depends.

Cisco, your points are well taken. LiquidFlex is just looking to further his Carbon Fiber look. He's not trying going for weight reduction. Like I said earlier, getting the real carbon fiber pieces and replacing the OEM pieces would be extremely cost prohibitive. He's just going for aesthetics.

I should not have said that... they do not look exactly like the real thing. And there is not a quality clear coat on them, just some cheap thin coating of something. I dunno, I can't really find the appropriate words to describe them... But, if these are the same ones I purchased for my old car (and im 99% sure they are), you're going to be disappointed.

I would question the durability against the natural elements such as rain, sun and salt. I bought a set and return them because once the over lay is on you can see the raised edge. Doesn't make for a clean look. There was a thread somewhere on here where a member removed the pillars and wrapped them with a carbon fiber wrap which provided a cleaner look.

it would look better if the weave was going the same way on both panels. It looks odd where they meet
