It might be because the phone you are using doesn't have the ability to transfer the phonebook to the HFL unit.. Did your phone pair with the car ?

I paired my phone successfully and making or receiving calls with my Rzar no problem.

No, it isn't an extra feature you have to pay for. It's just that few phones are compatible with this feature.

check www.handsfreelink.com
scroll for your phone model by carrier on that website and it should detail each of the functions that have been tested with the system.

Hope this helps. I know that I am using the link now to determine what my new cell phone will be. I am nearly up for my "new every 2" with Verizon.

Funny, I searched through the entire HFL list of phones on the Accura site...and after what seemed like hours, I couldn't find ANY approved phones that support the address book download feature. I'm sure there are some, but I gave up. Anyhow, I have over 300 contacts in my Cingular 8125, and it syncs with my pc at work and at home, so I was so excited to see the DOWNLOAD ADDRESS BOOK feature in the TLS, but alas...no workie. Bummer! So I add them to my address book manually as I get around to it...but there is a limit of 50 per address book if you add them manually...and no limit if it does the sync/download.

So what phones DO work with that feature? Has anyone has gotten that to work?

I took a quick look on the handsfreelink.com site. I didn't search them all, but the Sony phones under Cingular (AT&T) say they support the feature.

The Apple iPhone isn't listed on the website but it's 100% compatible including address book download.

Thanks, HiTEC, I appreciate it. I got lazy and tired of looking after a while.
