Cargo Net Upper Anchor Problem-Help!
As many of you know, the lower trunk anchors for the cargo net use a threaded bolt versus a sheet metal screw for the upper ones attached to the backside of the rear window sill.
The problem is that the right hand side one (passenger side) is stripped in that it will not hold the assigned tension on the anchor and it comes down and is loose. One can retighten it, but it never is really secure/tight. My thought would be to go to the harware store and hopefully there is a "clip" of some sort that I could wedge behind the backside of the sill to get a secure attachment. I traveled to Fresno, CA from my home in AZ and the dealer said that they have had some problems with some of the customers having loose anchors due to the amount of tension placed on the anchor and not being engineered into a threaded base.
HAVE ANY OF YOU HAD THIS PROBLEM AND WHAT IS MY BEST SOLUTION?.Apparently, there is no bulletin on this and many people have not tried to tighten and confirm that their anchors are solidly secure.
Thank you in advance for your help.
