be careful what you order. they might not actually have it

So was time for new tires. I had a set of eagle f1s on the car and was looking to get a new set. So i found was tires-easy.com. They claimed to have my tires so I ordered them. A little over a week later they aren't here. I call them to ask and the guy says that the warehouse hasn't sent them the tracking information so they don't know, but they should have a response the next day. the next day comes and they still don't know. I give it a weekend and they still don't show anything on the site about my order.

So finally I go to the good year dealer and asked. The guy tells that they're discontinued in that size. So being fed up with waiting for tires for two weeks I email tires-easy and tell them that if they can't get them just to say so and I'll buy tires from somewhere else. Sure enough a day later i get an email saying that it's not possible for them to get the tires and that cannot come up with an alternative for the same price. So not only did they bs me around for over a week, but then they don't even bother trying to keep the sale. So now I have to reorder tires from anothersite (tirerack) and hope that they get here before my rescheduled inspection appointment and that my one leaking tire does not plan on going any time soon ............

Hopefully the Bridgestone Potenza RE 050 A Pole Position is comparable.

I want to order from treadepot.com as they seem to be the cheapest, but never heard of them. Anyone else use them?

Was looking at tireseasy as well, and def not using them now.

I once ordered from tirerack....
I placed an order for a set of sumitomos but only received 2. I checked the inventory and they said they had 12 tires + left over.
I never received the other 2 tires...........

Nah I'm just teasing.
You shouldn't have an issue with tirerack. I haven't heard of any issues from them either. My friend uses tirerack---and we are in Canada. Fast shipping as well.

Good info. TireRack is usually dependable, but in todays climate, nobody will turn a customer away, such as tires-easy.

I truly hate any vendor that I order things from, only to find that it's "not in stock". No shit, it's not in stock at my house, that's why I'm buying it from you!

I've taken a harder stance with any vendor that can't produce what I've ordered. They usually relent and admit they don't have it, or give a discount in exchange for letting them finish the deal.

Play hardball, too many vendors are assholes these days.

I ordered a set of tires from tirerack.com early afternoon last Wednesday. I had them the next day and I only paid for standard shipping.
