Yea, I had the M3 lip in mind. I think a CF piece that would go over the a-spec lip would be something thats do-able. Have it attach using double-sided tape that would stick onto the a-spec flares, and maybe have one mounting tab in the middle.

Should I get the CF lip made over the a-spec lip or the stock bumper? Or should I use the a-spec lip as a template of how the CF lip should fit around the stcok bumper?

the TL from Dec3Designs doesn't work for me. I've always been a fan of the more subtle/classier set-ups. a small CF lip like that of the BMW post above would probably look really good

so maybe something like this...

i didn't think anyone would like the 'blended in' carbon fiber i did since there were no responses to it after i posted it in the original topic that CHROMETIDE posted in here...

and CHROMETIDE, thanks for providing the link to the original topic...i was gonna say, i just did numerous photoshops on this subject just over a week or so ago...

The problem with making a "one off" carbon fiber front lip is the cost of tooling up. You could make a one off...but it would cost you buku bucks to pay for the tooling to get the job started (mold costs, ect). I have been looking into the feasibility of producing a front lip in carbon fiber for quite some time now, but due to schedule load I havent started the project yet beyond feasibility studies. The mold production costs for a lip of this size is very expensive....to do a one off would be almost prohibitive.

dont forget that the reason there is a space there in the middle in the first place is because our car gets air from the bottom. i'm sure it should still be fine and should still be able to get air from the bottom even with that lip. can anyone make a clip on CF piece that goes over just that part? no need to create a whole new lip

I am also fabricating a replacement aluminum bottom lip - you know...the part you scrape going up curbs on the very bottom of the front end thats black plastic. Its just a flat peice that attaches near the bottom of the radiator. Two reasons....no flex at 100mph+ speeds and just to see what it will look like?

Should be easy to do and fairly cheap to make too?
