Carbon Fiber Hood Price
#3
i don't think any reputable companies make one for the TL yet. once they do, which may be soon, it'll probably cost around $400. i think i saw a few on ebay, but they are not worth buying. i think accuratein has cf hood.. you could try pm'ing him. i think it'll be sorta ugly with cf & hood pins.

actually, TL's hood is rather plain, which means it's cheaper & easier to make.
a cf hood is really not worth spending 400+ dollars on. afterall, the car's loaded with so much stuff, the weight you shave off the hood won't have a huge effect on performance. the car weighs whopping 4500~ lbs! this is not a 2500~ lbs. sport compact. looks wise, i personally dislike it... especially since you have to use hoodpins to securely latch it. safety wise, it's a big no-no.

As far as I know currently there are no CF hoods that do not use the stock frame of the OEM hood. So it doesn't even save much weight. It is just for looks.

Custom Carbons might have some carbon fiber hoods.
Try searching on ebay.
I paid $300 including shipping for mine.
They call it a 'grade A' hood, but i think its more of a 'grade B'.
Its not bad for $300....$600 would be the price to pay for a nice one.
