I'm in the market for a 07-08 TL. I found one on Craigslist that looks promising. Is this car worth it with 120,000 miles. I have contacted the owner but he hasn't responded yet with the vin/carafax. Here's the link: https://philadelphia.craigslist.org/cto/5459001164.html
Looks like a good price. There is some cosmetic stuff on the exterior and a dent there above the rear bumper on the driver's side. Check carfax, check KBB and NADA for pries. Has the TB service been done? Check the title for salvage?
I just priced it on KBB in "good" condition. With the exterior body issues it is at best good. Prices at $6800. $1K less than listed and you don't know the title status or if the TB service ($600-$1000) has been done. Stay away imho.
I'll let you guys now - hopefully it's a college student who needs to sell it quick. I'll run the vin through carafax to see if it has a clean title and I'll also ask him to see if he did the 105k work. He hasn't answered back yet so I don't know much about the car.
Yeah, how has it been maintained period. Receipts for oil changes, tranny services, major maintenance service. If he doesn't have em that should tell you something. Acura dealer can run the VIN and should be able to tell you what's been done if it was done at a dealer.

FYI: just because Carfax or AutoCheck says title is clean or car hasn't been in an accident doesn't mean it's true. A lot of stuff can go unreported. I use CarFax and AutoCheck to help filter out the cars that have been in accidents or ones where their titles are not clean.
After filtering out the (potentially) good from the bad, I inspect the cars. Get it up on a lift if you can. Check for overspray. Check body panels. If you have a paint depth gauge, use it to check if an area has been repainted and ask/try to find out why, etc. Take it to a mechanic and have them look it over.
@AZuser I will definitely get it checked out. My two uncles work with cars - one works with collision body and the other is a mechanic so that shouldn't be a problem.
@GKinColo08TL Do I just email my closest dealership with the vin and ask them to send the info? Or do I have to go in?
Good luck on getting dealer to turn over info on the car if you cant show you own it, least thats the way it is in the NoVa area or unless you bring it in for a PPI with owners consent. I dont get the privacy issue thing but thems the rules here
While I have no opinion of the price cuz there are way too many factors that affect it it truly amazes me when folks try and sell items and they are unresponsive to potential buyers requests for that info.
Ok for the mileage this car seems to be extremely cheap. Get it taken to a mechanic who can properly check everything on it and can test drive it. Something seems really fishy to me that they are listing it for that price.
They owner of car that I posted about still hasn't replied. I guess it was a scam or something. However, I found a 07 TL with Nav listed for $9899. It has about 84,000 miles with a clean car fax and the owner has all the maintenance receipts. Should I jump for this deal?

^^ You should go take a look at it and if your impressed, have your mechanic check it out. This car is due for timing belt/water pump service (84 months or 105K) so you need to consider this if it hasn't been done.
