Car wash and wax instruction '08 Type S

need detailed instructions on how to wash my car. I know most of you 3G owners probably take care of your car, but I haven't washed mine for a week and in Chicago you're car will get dirty as sh*t if you don't wash it every week..anyway i'm done going to car washed especially the ones that make scratches on your car.. i went to a touchless hand wash and paid 12 bucks but didn't feel like it was worth it.

i remember seeing a thread on here that showed detailed instructions on how to wash it and make my car look pristine... I'm looking for exact products including what towel brand... i think one of you 3g'ers had a post on here that showed how to get a good wash in..so if anyone knows what i'm talking about just respond with a link cuz i can't remember the title of the thread

IF you want to do this yourself your going to need to search around. Tons of different products, What I might recommend to you might be something totally different than what others might suggest to you.

There are some pretty well known detailing boards online, Autogeek is a big one. You can literally spend days and days reading through all the different threads.

If you just want to wash it, why not look into just stopping by a car wash and using the service bay.

The one here does a pretty handy job for only around 3 dollars. Keeps my car looking nice all winter. Just don't use the brush on anything other than your rims/tires or else you'll get a TON of scratches.

If your looking to get started I would suggest you look into wash's,clay and a good sealant to keep the paint in good shape. Waxes are usually short term and won't last as long as a quality sealant.

If you want some basics, just go to autozone and pickup a bucket, wash mitt and some turtle wax brand car soap.

Look up detailersdomain in the car wash section of this forum and PM him. He can point you in whatever direction you wish to go and he has a really good line of products that they carry on their online store that you can order from.
