It's all the same - We should never speed in rain or follow to closely ever. Yeah we're glad no one was hurt and sad for your car, we also hope that other kid goes to hell but to be honest this all sounds like it was something that you could have avoided
GL with everything.

I'm trying to visualize this. The more I think, the more I see it as someone was tail gating.

Also, is 80 a county road or an actual highway? I'm just wondering why he would "turn left" onto a road on the highway.

I didn't think anyone was necessarily tailgating. My understanding is that the Chevy Z71 truck was in the right lane and the OP was in the left lane when the Z71 suddenly brakes and jumps into the left lane (in front of the OP) causing the collision.

Most of you guys don't understand.. Texas is full of shitheads in big fucking trucks who think they own the road, drive like shit & want to race & cut off anything that gets next to them.. Glad you're okay OP and not in jail for murder.

Damn dude! Sorry about your car, but true, main thing is that you and everyone else is ok.

There are some fucking retarded drivers around here...(dfw), I've seen a bunch of them first hand.

Any plans what you are going to do? Get another TL?

nothing duct take willn't fix. Good thing your ok though. Here in jersey you get license at 17 and you have previsions till 18. Sucks at that age, but we all understand why we don't get our license's that young when we get older.

Ouch! Did they tell you it's totalled? I assume air bags deployed. Similar thing happened to me when I had a 2000 Grand Am GT and a 16 year old girl ran a red light & broad sided me. I spun around, hit another car & a light pole went half way into my back seat about 12" behind my headrest. Thank God it didn't hit my head or I'd be dead or a vegetable.
