Really no different than having your car rained on then frozen and/or snowed in.

LOL, yeah your car is wrecked man. If only the engineers designed cars to be outside in cold and wet conditions, ugh.

I really don't use them during the winter because it's too cold to roll the window down to get fresh air. That picture was taken today actually and it was the first time we got ice/snow here in Texas this year. Tomorrow in the morning it's supposed to be 17 degrees

I have had my vent visors on for over 2 years now and they are in pretty rough condition. They lost their shiny glossy reflection and look really dull and hazy with stains (tree sap) on them now. They take a good beating due to TX weather going from 115F to 15F and elements. I need to get them buffed out.

Threads like this make me even happier I started using Optimum No Rinse and Griot's Spray Wax for the winter. Just yesterday after work I washed the TL in the comfort of my garage. Car looks fantastic - I'm really impressed by how well it works, and start to finish was only about a half hour. Only downside is that I obviously can't rinse the salt off the undercarriage, so every once in a while I will have to go thru a touchless wash and immediately dry.

I was thinking of getting those visors but they don't look that great in person compared to how they look in pictures.

You and me both man, I have a hot and cold water spicket in my garage and during winter I just give my car a nice warm bath inside :-) I also spray down the underside as well in an attempt to get any salt off.

...way ahead of you. I close my garage door, problem solved!

While not balmy in there, it is plenty warm enough to be comfortable. If it is truly -5 degrees outside, I would probably just wait until the next day if the garage really felt cold.

Nick...I have the visors here in Colorado, mine were on the car when I bought it. I used Mequiar's plastic polish and that cleaned them right up.

That's funny because I have done the same thing. Infact when I wash the car with the garage door closed and use warm water it steams up inside the garage and looks like a sauna lol. When this house was built I had the builder insulate every wall in the garage and it's a insulated garage door as well. Doesn't ever get below 50 degrees in the garage even when it's extremely cold outside like now. It's pretty nice.

Insulated garage door would definitely be nice - my garage is insulated everywhere but the door. Not sure what temp it gets down to, but never feels too cold to wear just a hoodie. And I use warm water for my ONR solution, but no sauna like conditions for me

Dealer washes are great ... they even give you free swirls ... buggers wash it with a brush they just used to wash the wheels on the last car.

They do but if you use a good quality sheepskin wash mitt it reduces the chances .. Meguiars PlastX will help polish them out.
