Canadian A-Spec Package

Hey Guys I was on the Canadian Acura site and noticed you can now get the A-Spec kit all together. But I think it’s a cheap version of what you can get down there.

For $4788 (Can) installed that’s about $3950 (US). Package includes rear, front and side skirts, spoiler, ebony alloy wheels, sport suspension (automatic and manual) and an A-Spec emblem.

How much was the package down there and didn’t the U.S. package include the steering wheel and the cool 18” A-Spec wheels? I’ve never seen these Ebony alloy wheels they have in the package.

Also the kit split up before was
Aero Kit Packages
$2,359.48 installed $1950 (US)

Sport Suspension Kit
$1,399.42 installed $1160 (US)

That's what I was asking. In the Canadian A-Spec kit they say it comes with Ebony alloy wheels. I haven't seen these yet, or I don't think I have. Maybe they are refering to the ones you have. Do you have a picture?

I'm getting mixed responses regarding the wheels. I ordered the A-SPEC package last week for my still on order 6MT Navi at Terrace Gate Acura. I had to brief my salesperson on what the package consisted of btw. He apparently called Honda Canada and stated that the rim design are the same 18" gunmetal type split 5-spoke A-SPEC we've seen in the US.

I called back their parts department a few mins ago and after a few minutes of research they said they have to design picture to send to me, quote "it's trial and error" since I was apparently the first one to order the kit.

I'm holding my salesperson to his word that it's the same 18" design they have on the Canadian site, if not it'll be returned. I should be happy that finally we have Navi in Canada, this is my 3rd "Honda" car in 4 years and 1st with the feature I wanted the most.

darkseid2k How much did you pay for the A-Spec kit? If you add the body kit, Suspension Kit, and 18" gunmetal split 5-spoke A-SPEC wheels it comes out to a lot more then the $4788 on the site. Can you post the picture when you get it?

I paid pretty much the list price - $4700. Apparently not a lot has been shipped to dealers (at least in Toronto) so they're somewhat hard to come by. I like you, did the addition and yes, it is much cheaper than all individual parts put together - I was hoping the 18" came with rubber but I'm going to order my summer set soon (looking like winter's almost done in TO )

Side note, I called Downtown Acura and Acura in Markham, the two other T.O. dealerships and they don't have any info on the rims in the package. Their only info was to call back in a few days as the kits will be in then and they'll be able to give me more info. I also asked the parts manager yesterday if I can swap them for the chrome looking set - he said they're only available in one colour which leads me to think they might not be the US A-SPEC type.

I'm getting a NBP and IMO the car looks slick with them. Either way, i'll try to get pics if someone doesn't post it earlier.

Not as of yet. I'll contact the dealership tomorrow for more info. I'm giving them some time to get their hands on the A-SPEC package. FWIW, I'm still waiting for word on delivery date for my 6MT TL as well..

I went into the dealership last night as they told me my A-SPEC kit arrived, didn't get there in time for me to see it for myself as the parts department was closed, but I showed my salesperson a printout of the 3 different US A-SPEC rims.

He called and verified today that it's the Gunmetal version only.

i.e.: bottom right hand corner

Hope that helps Canadian Mike.

On another positive note, my NBP 6MT arrived today and will be ready for pickup on Monday after they install the A-SPEC package. I'm letting it stay at the dealership until the end of the month as April always has a Winter surprise here in Toronto. I'll hang in with my 'winter beater' 2003 Accord Coupe
