Which model of tire?

Does this mean when I turn my 04 after my lease with the EL42s (I put Michelins on within the first 1500 km) that Acura is going to make me replace the crappy tires?

The Michelin tires are Pilot HX MXM......they are considered performance luxury tires.

I just visited the Michelin Canada website and it looks like this is a far superior tire to the EL42s. Obviously, Acura did take heed of all of the complaints about that tire.

We should be able to bring in our TL back to Acura and have them change to the Michelins NO CHARGE!!!!

So, Canadian 05TLs have Michelin Pilot HX MXM as the standard, but US 05TLs only have the same tires on their Navi models.

All other US 05TLs w/o Navi are still equiped with EL42s...

Weird... Do I read it right?

It's the DREAM. As I said before, some dealers may be willing to do so for their selective customers. But I'm sure most of dealers won't do so.

Rets,I was at a dealer in Reading Pa. yesterday and he confirmed that the non-navi comes with the EL 42's and the navi with the Michelin's

What was Acura thinking??

Was, is, ????

I would expect Michelin's website to suggest their tires are better. The HXM came on my Type-S, and it is a hard rubber, mileage-oriented tire. I was not impressed - now I am no defending the EL42, but it has given me no problems (I have TU2 series). Would I buy another set? Probably not. Would I buy some HXM's - surely not!
