I agree that the Altima will be a couple of notches below the G35 and it is unlikely that a TL owner would trade into an Altima unless they are cutting expenses and trading down. Also, Altimas and Maximas do have a lower plastic grade than Hondas and Toyotas but I have yet to see or hear of that translating into rattles or other interior problems.

While Nissan may not have the warranty term of Acura, Nissans do not suffer any inherent reliability issues. (As far as the next Alti being faster than the TL, the current Altima SE-R is faster.)
