well i was going to the city last night, to go out (S.F.) and i was going throu the maze and saw a camero a coulpe of lanes over getting ready to go thru the toll boths. didn't really think anything of it, got thru the boths started going up the bay bridge and this camero comes next to me drops it down a gear (you can hear he has an exhaust, after looking, you know the one side for some reason always comes unbolted and just flops around and there to lasy to go it fixed) so he has a passenger i have 3 with me (don't worry they were all old enoght to be racing with me 21 an older) so i get into 3rd and we smash off. i have to let him go in front of me cause he had a slite jump and i couldn't get it front. a little farther down a space on the bridge opens up and i react faster too swithching gears.
he dose the same but hes not leaving me. i stay on his ass, everywhere for 1/2 mile or so than we have to back off. no where to finsh the race and i can't get a head or around him.

i can't say i won but i didn't lose. i just thought i wouldn't have a chance aganist
a camero but i guess i was wrong, only a straight open road would tell me diffrenet. i know that doesn't include heavier moddified camero's..

so basically what you're sayin is if you killed your three friends cuz you were dumb enough to race with them in your car and you crashed, it would not be that bad cuz they were 21+ ?

When you have people in your car, no matter how old they are, please, dont race... do it when you're by yourself or better yet, not at all... im not sayin i have never done anything like this before... but there was a time when I came to my sense and realised how stupid it was.. now I do it only when I'm by myself... I suggest you do the same.

BTW, the camaro was prolly a V6... they're slow as fuck.

back to the main topic, you would never stand a chance against a V8 camaro unless you were heavily modded. The car you raced probably had a V6... which is why you could keep up. Next time, try it when you're by yourself that way it'll be safer and on top of that, you'll beat the camaro! (im guessing the weight slowed you down...)

i think if it was a v6 he would have passed it, i drove both v8 and v6 and i wasnt impressed at all.

^^^ What year Z28 did you drive, my brother had a '00 6speed, 320 hp was very immpressive much, much faster than a Tl or Tl-s without a doubt, he would smoke me in my 03 TL-S without much effort at all.

I raced a Z28 Camaro on the freeway once. We hit it from about 75 mph till 110. I was able to inch away in third gear but when i hit 4th he pulled 2 cars on me easily...

To be fair you should know what year Z28 it was they range from 94 with 275hp which could happen, to more recent Z28's that are over 300hp, not doable, unless its a terrible driver, just speakingfrom personal experience.

i think it was a 96-97v8...not really sure, and it did have a busted tranny mount.
but the v6 was a 88

i raced a v8 camaro and i stayed right on his ass till i ran out of room so it had to have been a v8, i dont know what kinda TL u have but mine is 03 TL-S i was pretty impressed with the performance of my TL
