you have a $45,000 car, and you want to drop thousands on a kit, but you're worried about customs fees? clearly you're hooked up for cash if you're 18 and you drive a TL, perhaps pops will hook you up if you ask nice?

even with custom fees will be still cheaper than getting it from dealerships here and you know it!!

lol customs charge me 70 dollars for my dice kit and another 70 for my nav2go and camera... thats for a tiny package, imagine what customs would charge if u ship over a whole body kit.

car was not 45k, it was 30k.
thousands on a kit? the kits 799 lol
and dad nor mom paid for the entire car. i had an integra before which i bought myself after working hard for 2 summers, and traded that in for 13k. paid another 10k that i saved up and parents paid for the rest.


I ask this becuase i was wondering if there was any places like www.rocketz.net around vancouver that will have them instock or order it and i buy it from them.

I am telling OmeGa101, the only place you can get them cheapest is from Tim for $799US + shipping to Canada.

The aspec lip kit cost about $2500CDN locally, you can do the math can you??

well for me it was different, no custom fees for me since I got the kit shipped to my cousin's in seattle. i went down there to install and came back.

Customs charges are based on the value of the item being imported...not the size of the box. Carrier brokerage fees however, are based on the value and number of packages. For a bodykit worth $800, your Customs, brokerage and taxes would be less than $200. And you can save brokerage fees by clearing the item yourself at the carrier depot. Just have the company you're buying it from state on the package that the receiver will self clear the item. Get your Customs clearance form from Fed Ex, UPS or whomever your carrier is and fill out the form, drop it off, pay the sales taxes and pick up your item....easy.

That's a lie. I was quoted the most $1950.xx CAD. The least I got quoted on was $1400 CAD.
But in the end it's still cheaper to get it while the group buy is going on from Tim. It's too bad, though. I think Tim is located in NY--but I'm in Montreal. Damn. So close--but still too far.

edit: Well--when I think of it maybe you aren't lying.. because I'm in MTL you are in Vancity. Prices could be different.

it's a figure of speech...but I was quoted $600CDN+tax for just the front lip in a local stealership here.
but we're in the west coast, which everything is more expensive here than where you live.

Dam you guys!!! I paid $2750 plus tax for my A-spec kit back in 2004. But that price includes the Rear Lip Spoiler. But at least Acura installed the kit for me at no charge!! But still very expenisve comparing to what you can get down in the States.

thast back in 04 lols im sure its much cheaper now at the dealership. i was quoted 360 for just the front by somebody on this fourm like a month ago.. still deciding if i should go with the entire kit or just the front.

Yeah I figured--after I posted. Now I feel a bit of an ass hahah.
That's expensive man! The dealer quoted me practically 300+ for front.. then 300ish for sides and 300+for rear, all in CAD--painted to my color and shipped to the dealer the next day.

You could always get it shipped to a place called the "Letter Carrier" in Point Roberts. They are just a post office in Point Roberts that will accept shipments fro anyone. They sort the packages by you name. You go there give them your name, pay a small fee and they give you your package.
