calling all TL-S owners with white seats

im about to hop on a WDP TL-S with white seats(originally wanted black) i dont mind not having black but im concerned about the conditions of the seat colors after a while. i dont know if its actually white or if its like a off-white/ cream type color. i havent seen the seats in person yet. if anyone with these seats has any advice or comments please let me know =)

has anyone ever had their jeans bleed onto them? if its dirty is it easy to clean? do they fade?

pics of how your seats look now would be great! especially those with dirty ones

I think you mean Taupe Interior. Well I have that interior and I have to tell you, if you dont take care of it, it will get damaged. Every 3-4 months I clean and Treat the leather to keep it in good condition. I dont have jeans stains becuase I have never got in the car with my jeans wet. Probably if you get wet and with some new dark jeans it will get bleed. But I dont regret getting the interios, I have a NBP and it gives a good accent to the car in the interior.

I have the Taupe (Tan) on my '07 TL-S, and it does require more care.
Sweats, Jeans..if damp will stain the leather( this includes sweating).

Leather cleaner(Zymol) is virtually useless. I ended up using "mean green" with a toothbrush, and using 303 Protectant.

The protectant is important to prevent the wrinkling.

With this type of proper care though, I have 76,000 miles, and my seats look darn good......but you have to work at it.

The protectant is very important. Im using Lexol cleaner and protectant. I started using the useless perma-plate, but I changed to Lexol. I used one from Glipstone that it was very good too. The lexol protectant has a very stong odor, so that why I use the glipstone protectant and lexol cleaner.

It's Taupe; Kind of off-white, light tan color.

I like it.

It's NOT hard to keep clean. No harder than keeping the outside clean or keeping the inside vacuumed or the dash protected.

I clean with water and Woolite (~10:1) every 4 - 6 weeks and leather cleaner/conditioner about every other or every 3rd time.

3 years, 40k miles, looks pretty much as good as new; a few wrinkles for character, but no stains, damage, etc.

the type s only came in two interior colors...taup and black/silver two tone...the taupe is not brown, its more of a greyish cream...

my car is 3 years old, dont have any problems with the seat color, the leather is easy to take care of as with most automotive leather is coated in vinyl, so a leather protectant isnt really necessary...i clean my seats with a damp cloth, sometimes woolite and water, and then just wipe it down with a meguiars gold class leather wipe followed by a dry microfibre cloth...

Lexol is by far the best protectant, their cleaner isnt that great. Its also the most expensive.
My Taupe only has 20k on it, but still looks brand new

I have the Taupe interior also and I just use the Meguiars Gold Class Leather wipes as well. It's still looks brand new. I always wear jeans and so far so good with just a few minor wrinkles. I only have 21,000 miles on it so ya can't tell how its gonna pan out yet but I'm sure it will be fine. I give it a good wipe once in a while but not all the time.

PEACE!

Pretty much white. But my driver seat bolster is cracking even though I have used Zaino leather conditioner and cleaner on it. Not much I can do with it I guess.

super clean from what i can see! im more concerned about where my butt goes mainly though so no worries

i likes it alots. now i wish acura offered pure white seats . that could potentially boost their popularity imo like how BMW had those red/coral red seats that their 3 series /M3 are known for

I think the seat heater wears the leather out a little quicker...on mine its still in pretty good shape..but the lower bolster seems to get the majority of the wear.
