"california squeegee" any good?
The California squeegee is this 12" long hand-squeegee looking thing that is used to dry cars without leaving streaks. It has a soft rubber blade. I'm hearing good things about it but I'm skeptical on whether it's really a feasible option, especially for a black car. I'm always looking for ways to dry my car quicker and easier than the ole' chamois/micro-fibre towel. Anybody use this thing?

nope- i don't use it at all. my brother uses it on his truck and it just seems like more work trying to get all the water off w/ that thing.

I have been using one for 3 months now (from a-zone $20), its a treasured item kept in the original package to protect the edge, and is NOT loaned to the kids for their cars!
My old drying method was the leaf blower- so this is much quieter and faster.
While it does not remove all the water- it breaks up most it so that a small towel will finish the edges and door inner edges and sills. And if I am travelling it goes in the trunk in case I use quickie wash somewhere. Excellent for windows too
Takes a few times to get a method that works for you, then its just wipe wipe wipe around the car- get the sunny side done fast and then the glass and rest of the car

I use one, about a foot long. Then I use a microfiber towel to get the rest off. It makes it so easy to dry off the car. Some people say it will mess up your car, as long as you treat the blade right you shouldn't have a problem. I still have the package it came in, it's go back in it every time I'm finished.

it actually DOES get most of the water off
the ppl who dont like it probably just dont know how to use one
you dont have to keep using microfiber, soaking the towel up, forcing you to use more and more
i have the big one and MAKE SURE the handle is the same material as the blade cause accidentally, i hit the blade on a squeegee with a plastic one, and it made a waxy white mark
the cali squeegee is a huge time saver and i use it all the time w/o scratching paint finish

Thanx, guys - I think I'll give it a shot. Anybody specifically with NBP use it? I'm concerned about scratching the finish - my whole life seems to revolve around keeping this damn black car clean and sparkly - why didn't I go with silver ?!?!?!?!
