Buying off lease question

Buying off lease question
My lease is up soon and I plan on buying my car via Honda finance.
When I bought, my credit was perfect - now it's not due to a divorce.
I've never even made a late payment, but is Honda now going to make me reapply for a loan that I likely wouldn't otherwise be approved for?

I would think so, if you want to buy the car you will have a few options.
1. Send a check to Honda finance.
2. Apply for a loan through Honda Finance
3. Apply for a loan through another source - such as a credit union or a bank, then use that loan to pay Honda Finance

He's right BG. However I do know that Honda finance will take your payment history into consideration. I was in the same boat you are in. I just paid my way out of it. Personally I would call American Honda Finance 1-800-517-9679. I would go ahead and pay the $25 to FreeCreditReport.com and see exactly where you stand. I know you are going to feel it in the wallet when you go from your lease to purchase however if thats your only choice then thats what you'll have to do. You just wont ever be right side up on the car until your last 24 payments or so. Good Luck!!
