Buy a TL, Get a FREE Bird!
Well just hit my 1st 500 miles and 2 weeks with my 05 TL and I am impressed each time I drive. So far so good and I truly hope the new "carness" does not wear off too soon.
So far no buzzes, rattles, vibrations (but the sunglass holders are in the garage, the wheel locks are stowed in the trunk & I keep the house keys off the key ring...purely anal). But I have my first mystery, although a small one.
I have an occasional chirp / high pitch squeak that appears to come from somewhere in the back of the cabin. It literally sounds like a bird chip. I cannot isolate from where it comes, but it only seems to surface when on an undulating road and the car is in an up and down motion. Anyone have a clue?
It will certainly wait until my 1st service visit, and if it is my only production complaint, I am fortunate indeed. Perhaps it is a Bonus Incentive from Acura? Buy a TL, Get a Canary??? A Car Sick Canary???
Now, BEFORE you SEARCH POLICE light up your flame throwers, yes, I already did a SEARCH. Yes, my issue is minor, go ahead now, chastize me. <ducking>

I had a minor squeak in the back for part of a day until I fugured out that a passanger had left one of the overhead handles pulled out. Pushed it in and squeak was gone. Also, have you checked that the trunk pass-thru is completely closed and locked? Just a thought.

Hey VTECH:
Actually, the 1st time I heard it was after I had a passenger ride in the back...so I will check that one out. Appreciate the advice. Nice to see another Tampa member here.
