honestly. i grew up in staten island, and i travel through there to AC all the time....

thats really not a road to speed on.... the limit is 50, 45 in some areas... and its just not a good place to whip it. ya wanna have some fun, go into jersey and hop on the GSP =) the limit is 65, so you can do 80 w/o being wreckless...

im suprised your lil brother didnt get a wreckless driving ticket. my friend got slammed doing 95 in a 50 over there once and he got that ticket. and he was 22

 

damn here in WI 93+ means your ass is getting arrested for wreckless endangerment and something along the lines of homicide... not murder or anything, but something to do.. .maybe intentional homicide or soemthing? idk... something to do with the ending of life lol.. might be worded differently... either way its a night in jail if you dont have a lawyer

From speaking with LEO's pulling left on the highway is an INSTANT they are getting a ticket.

I drive there all the time, theres usually cops on that road by the bridges.. 50mph is the speed limit, people get aways with doing 60mph there but 90mph? lol no way.. cops have quotas here in NY, and anything over 70% tints are illegal.. over in brooklyn I rarely see anyone getting a tint ticket unless the cop is just looking to give out tickets aka meeting performane goals (quota). I didnt see your location but if your not from NY/ have NY plates they cant give you a tint ticket.. good luck to your brother and you with the tickets.

 

Finally they ticket speedsters!!! But anyways I dont understand why he got ticketed for the REAR window tint....I thought you can have it as dark as you want. If thats the case they should ticket all minivans and SUV's straight out from the factory or better yet all those trucks with no back window.

 

i had some cop put the light thing on my windows like 2 weeks ago... came back with 9% light transmission. he gave me some story how all windows are already tinted from the factory 30% blah blah..

cop was really cool actually, he let me go with ALOT of shit. he pulled me over and said 'your taillights are too dark, your windows are too dark, your headlights are too dark, your blinkers are illegal,your cars too low and your inspection is up.

he wrote me one ticket for inspection. nice cop.

 

ny tints you can't go under 70% tints...in NY, tinting is like almost nothing....factory comes with 90% tints on windows so tinting to 35% will give you around 30% light transmission, again, you need the vice versa which is 70% transmission.

In ny, they need tint laws because they don't want our officers to get killed pulling someone over. Tinting conceals what is going on inside the car and cops dont like it here. I don't like the law but thats waht it is...

 

exactly, on my other car i have 20% tints all around and my interior is beige. During the day its not that bad at all but at night its pretty dark.,thats why the last time I got pulled over by a cop I opened my front driver and passenger windows turned on the dome light and shut my car off so I dont need officers thinking the tint is concealing anything, knock on the fake wood in the car I never got a ticket for the tints

 

yeah I've tried that before - on my 98 vic, but they see you driving around and your back windows have the tint, so I've done the "ROLL DOWN" thing, they cop pulls me over and says

"SIR PLEASE ROLL UP YOUR WINDOW", tint-o-meter came out and bam, 40$ ticket
