Bridgestone Blizzak WS50

I have some trial tires with OEM rims on my car. Overall these are great snow tires. They are stock 235 45 17s and I believe they are unidirectional. My driving impressions are as follows:

The tires are very comfortable and offer a slightly softer ride than the EL42 all seasons. Surprisingly there is marginal increase in noise (or roar) from the aggressive tread design.

The handling attributes in cold and snowy weather seem very good.
It was -10 C today - in wet/slick conditions after the road was salted the tires had strong grip and the cornering attributes were very good.

Believe it or not, these tires are more comfortable riding than the stock EL42s.

There is no vibration or oscillation at speed that I have dedected so far and even the 80km/h vibration that has been complained about does not seem to be there with these tires.

Overall - these are great in winter conditions. I may actually start using snow tires!

Peters,
the LM 22 are more appropriate, the ws50 affect handling quite a bit plus they are rated only to 99mph. They do have better traction when new. The multicell compound of the w50 is only part of the tread , the rest is the same as the LM22, ergo, I recommend the LM 22 for our "hot Wheels". Up to now I have only gotten stuck while going up a 30 degree hill with 4 inches of fresh snow otherwise I've been unstoppable!

Thanks for the feedback. These are test tires so I'm unsure about their specs. I'll drive them for a little longer and then re-post based on my experience.
