Brakes squealing after only 8k miles!
I already know the answer, but is this normal? My brakes are starting to make the squealing noise after only 8,100 miles and I'm amazed that they're already worn out.
I do drive a little aggressively, but not like a maniac where they'd last this little.
I'm thinking of calling Acura and seeing if they'll cover it under warranty. They should've lasted me at least double.

just pull the wheel off and see how much pads are left.... i dont think they need to be replaced who knows maybe some brake dust is causing that noise or maybe your rotors are badly glazed due to aggressive driving

service writer said what??? 15k is hard use lifespan 20 is for normal person
some get extreme miles over 30k too- all depends on how you use them.
Aggressive can mean many things
stop and go traffic is a killer as much as 80 to 20
Its easy to remove the front wheels and inspect the pad depth and rotor condition
inside and outside pads should match in depth remaining
Just brake dust buildup can cause problems so clean and wax the rims with synthetic car wax-3 coats will shed most brake dust for 6 months
No its not a warranty issue UNLESS there is somethign causing the brakes to be partially on all the time and wear them out
You might be hearing the squeeler tab that lets you know they are low

the pads have a center slot for cooling and visual check of pads- if it disappears the pads are below the minimum of 2mm pad remaining and you are damaging the rotors
