Has anyone else seen this DVD-A for sale? I was unaware of this music being available in DVD-A. I found it today at Waterloo Records in Austin and snagged it.

If you're a Sting fan, I'd recommend that you give this one a spin in the TL. It's an audiophile's mix, with much less punchy bass than the original CD release. Track 5, Never Coming Home, has a much different and longer solo by piano whiz kid Jason Rebello - very funky. Overall, the 5.1 mix is tastefully done without being "airy".


BTW, if you like Crowded House from way back when, then I highly recommend their debut album in DVD-A. It got a great write up in highfidelityreview.com and I couldn't second the positives enough. The 5.1 mix was very well done, and the additional nuance in this album is just unbelievable. It is night and day from the original CD.
