Bought a 2008 TL in PMM
Hey everyone,
Been browsing the forums a couple of weeks, but that was right after my wife and I purchased this new car. So we picked up a 2007 TL, non-navi, and not a TL-S. We purchased it from Sunnyvale Acura in the Bay Area, and paid a little under invoice (but still had to pay destination). We thought it was a pretty good deal, as the 2007s had already been sold out the door, and they were "struggling for sales" at the end of the month of November. So we chose the Polish Metal Metallic 2008 TL to replace my 10 year old Accord. A fine upgrade. My wife was initially really wanting a Lexus ES350, but in the end, she agreed to this car (she drives a 2003 Camry, so if we bought the Lexus, we would have two VERY similar looking cars, haha).
Been loving the car so far, and we were so impressed with Acura that everything's included in the base price (unlike other companies that nickle and dime you with upgrades). The gas mileage hasn't been that great (averaging about 20-21mpg) with mix driving, but I read that it gets better after your break in the car.
I'll be giving the TL it's first wash/dry/wax tomorrow, and maybe be taking some pictures with it as well.
Oh, any word on 2007-2008 mods? I found the lower grille mods intriguing (as I did something similar with my Accord back in 2000), but saw that it won't work with the 07-08 because of the fog lights. I'll be doing tints for the rear (20%), and possibly 35% for the front. I saw the posting about the LED interior lights...which I may do...but any other neat mods for the 07-08?
