Boston south shore tint shop

After hearing all the horror stories related to tinting (rear 1/4 window, and weather stripping) I need to find an experienced tint shop here in Mass. Does anyone know of a place on the south shore with TL experience?

Pick up my 2004 WDP TL tonight at 5pm. Can not wait!

I know a really good place but it's not on the south shore. It's called Tint king in Billerica, MA. The web site is www.tint-king.com. I just recently got my 2007 TL-S tinted here, and it came out perfect. Before that, I got an 04' done here and it was perfect too. They have lifetime gurantees on all tint jobs. Highly recommended.

South Shore Cape & Islands Glass Tinting Co.

I did my tints with www.sstint.com (Hanover location) or www. tint-it.com (same company). Once piece film for the rear!

Can I ask how much it was at SSTint? That's very close to me. May look into the clear bra too. If I don't go there, all I hear is good stuff about Tint King, so I may end up there.

I paid $210.00 (December 2006). I have the 3M clear bra on my car, but not from SSTint. I don't believe they use 3M.

Thanks... I have an appointment with them next Friday. They're out of the felt and that's why I have to wait.

By the way...what's a good tint for the WDP. Not sure how dark I should go.

Nice. You won't regret your decision. My car is ASM, and I went with 35% all the way around, looks real good and I wanted to keep it legal.

I called a couple places. SSTint was waaaay too snotty and a d!ck on the phone, so I am passing on them (even though they're the next town over and $40 cheaper). I'm going to go to Tint King. It is an hour drive, but I trust 'em. First thing they said is about the moleskin. They tint over the dot matrix. They know how to correctly do the rear quarter window. $250. +$50 for them to do the moleskin themselves.

Timeslips to come after completion

I canceled my apptmnt with tint king as they told me they no longer use moleskin. I'm still "tintless in Boston". Plese let me know how you make out with Tint King.

Thanks!

So far so good! Went today (who was the CBP Type-S that was there too?). They said they no longer do the moleskin, but they cut out the squeegee or whatever it was. I had purchased the moleskin from whoosie there in the sticky post. Anyway, I told them they are the experts, so they should know best and to do what they think is right. They put the moleskin on ($30 on top of tint price). They said it may come off and cause problems, but then it may never come off.

Still, I drove an hour and am glad I did. Now I need to redecorate my living room like their waiting room upstairs. I damn near fell asleep on the chair.

I washed the cah just now to clean off the goop stuff. When it dries and the sun gets a wee bit lower, I will provide timeslips.

I will be going back for the stoneguard stuff soon.
