Body side moulding

What do you guys think about the body side moulding strips? Useful for door-ding protection in parking lots?

I dislike it, clashes with the sweet lines of the profile

O-dear..... Not this subject again:wow:

A week or so back a thread of this subject got quite heated.

Anyway my 2C's - I purchased them off the internet at ~$136. Put them on myself in the garage in about 45 minutes. Easily could have cut that time in half but I am extremely anal. Overall very easy task. Kit comes with great templates etc.

Some like the looks others don't. Both the wife and I feel the car looks more complete with them. Could be because we've never had a car without them... While installing, I completed one side then performed a side-by-side comparison - no question I liked it.

Will they work? My opinion - You Bet! Will they work for everything that parks next to me - No Way! The wife and I always perform mental gymnastics prior to parking any of our vehicles, all in the name of mitigating the "door-ding" risk. Either way, the BSM's give me a little peace of mind for the moments I can't control. I've had nothing but success from BSM's on my other vehicles, so for me it was a done deal.

I like them and seriously considered them....in the end, they do break up the lines a bit, but they also add interest and detail to the side of the car....can't go wrong either way

Re: Body side moulding

It may protect 30% of impact if other cars or objects hit so precisely into BSM.

You may find out lots of threads already talking about this topic if you like to get more ideas.
