Its a wireless technology that allows devices such as phones, headsets, and other items to communicate without physical wires. Theres a few revisions, one has a 10 foot range, the other has a 30 foot range. Devices "Pair" up and once paired, they will remember each other without having to "pair" every time you use bluetooth devices together.

Ask an Acura salesman to demonstrate bluetooth to you by placing a cellular call from the driver's seat of a TL. He'll do it without taking his eyes off of the road, his hands will stay on the wheel, and the phone will never leave his pocket.
